A Romanian team of young tech geeks, the founders of technology company Naratix, designed five AI-based robots which can tirelessly work as brand manager, sales agent, data engineer and influencer, and who could be "employed" in 2,500 online stores by the end of this year, according to a press release.
It's already a trope that the new robot employees don't get tired, don't stray off focus, don't lie and can work simultaneously in thousands of companies.
The masterminds of the five robots are a team of young Romanians aged 29 to 36, and who plan to have them "employed" with 2,500 online stores until the end of 2024.
AI robots Nara, Dynamo, Gina, Grant and Julie can act as brand manager, sales agent, data engineer and influencer and come to the aid of local brands with the technology used by giants such as Amazon, Temu or AliExpress.
The investment in the robots' development amounted to €350,000.
"The idea of the Naratix business and the development of robots capable of solving a series of problems in the e-commerce industry emerged as early as the pandemic, when we carried out several digitization projects for large e-commerce brands, even some local ones, based in Romania. It's then that we became aware of the difficulty, the exaggerated costs, as well as the importance of e-commerce catalogs," says Naratix co-founder Cristian Orasanu.
Nara, who has the role of Brand Manager, writes unique content for online store product descriptions, category pages, and brand pages. Nara was trained on a huge data set specific to the e-commerce industry and can operate within any digital or e-commerce department in the world. Nara can also use the brand's voice and identity in each description, as well as the brand's SEO strategy or catalog data.
The second robot, named Dynamo, is a Data Engineer who does everything possible to enrich the data and its relevance for each product in an online store. Dynamo uses EAN codes or product PDFs, by searching all over the Internet for relevant product information in any language.
Gina is tasked as an Engagement Manager, an agent who provides advice to clients, understands their needs, helps them make decisions and can further liaise with internal departments. In essence, Gina replaces chatbots or IVR systems.
Also on the team is Grant, a sales agent who offers advice on choosing the ideal products. For instance, if the user is on an the online store's earrings page, Grant prompts them to complete the set by also buying a chain or ring in the same style.
Last but not least, Julie is a robotic digital influencer for brands, creating their own audience, posting on social media from their own accounts and creating relevant content. Thus, Julie helps brands that want to do livestreaming or online content (unboxing, hauls, try-ons etc.).
"Depending on the specifics of the brand, Naratix offers a number of advantages for online stores, including the cut of documentation and listing costs by up to 97 percent, but also the automation of manual processes, increasing the efficiency (speed) of the cataloging processes at least five-fold. The benefits include the decrease of the return rate by up to 60 percent, the decrease of the bounce rate and more time spent on the product page, the increase of the AOV by up to 30 percent (cross-sales), an up to 15 percent increase in the add2cart rate, and the strengthening of the brand through unique content (brand fidelity), customized for the right audience," the cited source states.
Start-up company Naratix, has implemented the five robots in several companies known to the general public, including: MeliMelo, TheBodyShop, NeaKaisa, Bigotti, Caro, in all e-commerce verticals, from Fashion, Beauty, Home & Deco, Furniture, DIY, IT to Electronic. At the same time, the Naratix founders managed to enter partnerships with the most important e-commerce platforms (Go-Mag, ContentSpeed) present in Romania, as well as with the largest digital marketing and SEO agencies specializing in e-commerce (DWF, Data Revolt Agency).
