Tiplog estimates 30% growth in 2024 after €5.8 million business in 2023

With a promising trajectory, Tiplog, founded in Timișoara by the entrepreneur Călin Pascu, is set to achieve a 30% increase in turnover and a doubling of recurring customers in 2024. This growth results from Tiplog's approach, which has seen the company open a new category of services in Romania and create a business model through printing services and integration with logistics and packaging production.

"In recent years, we have made the impossible possible in a traditional and commoditized market, which generally no longer reports growth in Romania. We work with companies from retail, FMCG, production, and Horeca in difficult and complex projects and take on each project's challenges. For example, for a campaign before the EURO 2024 football championship, we produced customized materials overnight and delivered them the next day to 290 stores nationwide so that the Romanian fans could have them at the first match of the national team", said the entrepreneur Calin Pascu, CEO Tiplog.

The Tiplog company started its activity in 2012 with classic magazine projects with store deliveries, and the first project to integrate print with logistics was enforced in 2017 with Profi, one of the most active players in local modern commerce.

Over the past 12 years, Tiplog has responded to the increasing demand for integrated logistics solutions, building a diverse portfolio of over 100 clients. These include multinational international companies like Profi, Penny, KFC, Pizza Hut, Cinema City, Animax, and Victoria's Secret and large entrepreneurial companies such as Autonom, Altex, Annabella, Home Garden, and Diana Store. Tiplog also serves emerging domestic companies like Little Fermier, Imobiliare.ro, and Clinica de Beer.

The most significant areas from which Tiplog customers come in 2024, as a share of turnover, are retail, Horeca, DIY, specialized retail chains (pet shops), FMCG manufacturers, and textile and sports equipment manufacturers.

What factors have influenced the printing, packaging, and logistics market in recent years

The crisis of raw materials, the increase in prices in the paper market, and the post-pandemic context are three factors that have influenced the printing, packaging, and logistics market, but also the evolution of Tiplog through predictability, safety, and backup solutions elements that have become increasingly important for retail and FMCG companies.

Thus, starting with the first year of the pandemic and after the return in 2022, retail, FMCG, and Horeca customers have requested integrated printing and logistics services to avoid risking blockages on the supply chain. In recent years, there have been many situations where factories were closed, and customers no longer received materials on time, a problem solved by integrating printing with logistics. In addition, paper manufacturers and distributors have had periods of announcing paper ton increases from one week to the next.

The crisis of raw materials, for example, the lack of paper for orders received from customers, has generated project problems and higher prices in the market. In such situations, we have offered several font variants thanks to a diversified portfolio of printers. We provided safety and backup solutions in a context of uncertainty. This is, in fact, the advantage of working with an integrator supplier: when we are responsible for a complete chain with several stages of implementation - paper procurement, production, packaging, distribution - we manage to adapt and change activities at each stage so that to guarantee the originally contracted terms," ​​says Calin Pascu, Tiplog CEO.

Integrating packaging production with logistics generates operational advantages for companies

As part of the development of the business model, Tiplog has integrated the production of packaging with logistics, a move that significantly enhances operational efficiency for companies, especially for producers in the food industry, Horeca operators and retailers, for their own brands in the portfolio. Multichannel strategies have also become more important in retail and FMCG, a new trend that confirms how important the integration of digital platforms with print is. Thus, Tiplog has successfully implemented several promotional projects in retail, with color and print quality alignment for two seemingly impossible technologies to align: offset printing with digital printing.
