Euro jumps to new high against leu

The Romanian leu fell on Thursday against the euro, which was calculated by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) at RON 5.1222. This represents an increase of 0.45%, marking a new historic high.

The leu also lost ground against the US dollar, which was quoted at RON 4.5369, up 1.05% versus yesterday.

Furthermore, the national currency depreciated against the Swiss franc, calculated by the BNR at RON 5.4930, up by 0.85% from the previous day, also reaching a historic high.

The price of one gram of gold decreased to  RON 487.06, from  RON 487.12 in the previous trading session.
