Electrica saw a net profit of RON 376.5 million (€75.5 million) in 2024, down 39.3% compared to 2023, while its operating revenues totaled RON 10.87 billion (€2.1 billion), a fall of 18.4% over 2023.

In the electricity distribution segment, revenues rose by 6.8% to RON 4.70 billion (€944 million). The company states that this increase was primarily driven by the 6.8% distribution tariff increase compared to the latest adjusted tariffs from April 2023, as well as the 4.2% increase in electricity distribution volumes.

In the supply business, revenues fell by 13.1% to RON 6.32 billion (€1.3 billion). This variation was mainly due to the approximately 2.6% decrease in the quantity of electricity supplied to the retail market and the reduction in the acquisition cost (by 36% for electricity), which also impacts sales revenues.

The volume of electricity distributed, 17.77 TWh, rose by 4.2% compared to 2023. Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania (DEER) serves approximately 3.98 million users, covering about 40.8% of the local market.

The volume of electricity supplied to the retail market, 7.6 TWh, fell by 2.6% compared to 2023, over falling consumption.

Electrica Furnizare supplies electricity to approximately 3.5 million consumption points.

DEER completed and commissioned investments worth RON 808 million (€162 million) in 2024.
