The company cited delays in the collection of receivables, difficulties in the acceptance of works with public institutions, and a temporary lack of liquidity as the main causes of these difficulties.
This procedure is a legal restructuring solution aimed at allowing the business to continue operating while negotiating a recovery plan with creditors.
“This situation affects cash flow management and we wish to address it promptly so as not to impact the company's ability to meet its obligations to customers, suppliers, financiers and investors in equal measure,” the company stated in a notification submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).
Restart One Energy has bonds worth RON 16.3 million (€3.2 million) that are trading on the BVB and have to be repaid in 2026.
In early April, the company said it “has no knowledge of being involved in any official investigation or inquiry by DIICOT.”
According to media reports, Restart Energy One's founders are being investigated in a case involving the misappropriation of the company's funds.
Armand Doru Domuță, General Director of the company, is part of the investigation, according to local media reports.
