Macromex Company intensifies its social responsibility efforts by launching the internal volunteer program "Nurturing Goodness Together". The initiative debuts with an impressive collaboration alongside Social Food, a program of the association founded by chef Adrian Hădean, and the Bucharest City Hall, through the Social Assistance Directorate of Bucharest Municipality (DGASMB), which provided the OMINIS canteen, where Macromex employees prepared and served hot meals to people in need.

During this action, Macromex volunteers demonstrated a remarkable commitment:

  • Over 50 Macromex employees from the Bucharest headquarters and the Corso Distribution Center logistics platform participated, dedicating a cumulative total of over 400 volunteer hours in a single day
  • Over 1000 portions of hot food were cooked and distributed to the beneficiaries of the OMINIS canteen
  • They directly supported vulnerable people in Bucharest

Albert Davidoglu, CEO of Macromex, emphasizes the importance of this initiative: "The 'Nurturing Goodness Together' program represents the essence of our company's values and culture. It's not just about providing a hot meal, but about nurturing hope and dignity in our community. We are proud that our employees have taken on this vital role, demonstrating that together we can make a real difference in the lives of the most vulnerable among us."

Chef Adrian Hădean, founder of the association coordinating the Social Food program, appreciates the collaboration: "The partnership with Macromex is a shining example of corporate involvement in solving social problems. The enthusiasm and dedication of Macromex volunteers brought not just food, but also smiles to the faces of those we serve. This type of involvement is essential to create a lasting impact in the community and to inspire other companies to join our social cause."

"Nurturing Goodness Together": An initiative on three pillars. The Macromex volunteer program focuses on three main directions of action:

  1. Education for a healthy lifestyle, where we organize awareness campaigns on reducing food waste and workshops on nutrition topics supported by experts in the field
  2. Promoting sports, by supporting the organization of sports events and competitions and encouraging an active lifestyle in the community
  3. Community involvement, through partnerships with local NGOs, such as this program, as well as other volunteer projects with direct impact on disadvantaged people

Mirela Stere, Human Resources and Internal Communication Director at Macromex, states: "Our volunteer program is not a singular initiative, but an integral part of our culture. There have been numerous occasions when we have mobilized impeccably to support colleagues in vulnerable situations and have been involved in various humanitarian causes that resonated with us. Therefore, I can state with full conviction that we don't have an Employer Branding campaign slogan, but a common belief and values that have united us in a team whose heart beats in unison: 'Great People. Great Ambitions. Great Brands' and I gratefully add 'Great Souls'. I know we've inspired those around us, and we want to continue to do so because there's a need for much good in the world and each of us can contribute our own dose of good from where we are."

Macromex aims to expand the "Nurturing Goodness Together" program nationally, involving employees from all company branches. The objective is to create a significant and measurable impact in the communities where the company operates. Macromex is a 100% Romanian-owned company, for over 30 years the leader in the food industry, in the segment of frozen and refrigerated products.
