Signal Iduna brings even more flexibility to who have health insurance, simplifying both the classic reimbursement process and the one for sending supporting documents for medical services accessed through the Easy Pay card.
The new online Claims Notification page is available directly on the www.signal-iduna.ro website, in the Useful section, offering a user-friendly and intuitive experience, making it easier to access medical services covered by Signal Iduna private health insurance. Thus, through the Claims Notification page, policyholders, whether they are individuals who have individually purchased the policy or have health insurance provided by their employer, can initiate new reimbursement requests, add additional documents to the already existing requests for reimbursement, or submit supporting documents for medical services accessed through the Easy Pay prepaid card.
The process is 100% digital, providing security and confidentiality for the personal and medical data of the policyholders. Documents can be submitted without creating an account, by filling in the necessary information for each request individually.

Signal Iduna offers policyholders three ways to access medical services. Through direct settlement they have access to over 1,400 clinics, hospitals, and medical laboratories within the Mediqa Net network, and through reimbursement they can go to any private medical network in Romania, pay for the necessary medical services, and then recover the money according to the contractual terms. Additionally, they also have available the Easy Pay card, on which Signal Iduna preloads the necessary money in advance, so that policyholders who choose to receive treatment outside the Mediqa Net network do not have to pay for medical services from their own funds.
In 2023, Signal Iduna covered medical services worth over RON 149 million for more than 200,000 insured persons in the health portfolio, with over 36% more compared to the previous year, significantly contributing to the improvement of the health status of Romanians. Throughout the past year, the most accessed medical services through private health insurance were preventive ones, followed by hospitalizations and surgical interventions.
