Payments made at POS or online with Banca Transilvania's debit cards, digital or physical, can bring savings through Round Up, with an interest rate of 3.2%. The number of BT Pay users using the Round Up option exceeded 300,000, up 50% compared to the same period last year. 34% of these are aged between 18 and 26 and 35% between 27 and 42.
There are more than RON 40 million in Round Up savings' accounts, double the amount in January 2024.
To benefit from automatically transferred savings, BT Pay users need to activate the Round Up option by going to the Cards/Round Up section.
Customers can opt to round up to RON 1, 5 or 10 of the amount spent, with the difference transferred to their Round Up savings account. For example, if the round up threshold is set at RON 10, for a payment of RON 3.5 the round up is RON 6.5.
The amount saved can be consulted in BT Pay and can be used at any time by transfer to your current account with Banca Transilvania.
