Investimental launches trading app Nova

Business Forum
Investimental, the newest broker on Romania's capital market, has launched Investimental Nova, a desktop and mobile-native application designed for retail investors. This app provides streamlined access to trading and enhances investment portfolio management. As of today, investors can set and track financial goals, create multi-currency custom watchlists featuring their preferred companies, trade fractional shares, and access after-hours trading for U.S. markets. The app also includes cost forecasting, consolidated reports, notifications, and alerts for investment opportunities.

"Investimental Nova now integrates the Romanian and U.S. stock markets. Soon, we will extend access to major European markets within the same app. Additionally, we are implementing a unique fund deposit and withdrawal system directly into the platform, a first in Romania. Our primary focus remains supporting all investors in achieving their financial goals, regardless of their experience level or trading habits. To achieve this, they need an integrated, user-friendly platform that helps them navigate financial markets confidently. Since our launch, we have invested over RON 10 million in products, solutions, and services aimed at simplifying access to capital markets. We will continue to uphold this mission and, in the future, expand our efforts in financial education to support even more potential investors," stated Mihaela Biciu, CEO of Investimental.

The new application enables users to track specific companies and use predefined lists organized by industries and economic sectors. Investors can also create personalized lists that include companies from multiple markets and currencies (RON, EUR, USD), providing quick access to symbols, prices, and variations in one place. Predefined categories such as energy, technology, and banking offer an efficient way to explore and monitor relevant markets, saving time and enabling informed decision-making.

Investimental Nova offers trading flexibility by allowing users to place tailored orders, either at limit or market prices. Essential details like estimated fees, available funds, and total transaction value are transparently displayed before confirmation. Furthermore, extended access to the U.S. market, including after-hours trading, lets investors capitalize on key opportunities as they arise. Fractional investing functionality facilitates the acquisition of U.S. stocks with small amounts, allowing even beginner investors to diversify their portfolios. The app also supports managing up to three additional accounts through the MultiCont feature, providing flexibility for various financial goals, from saving for children's future to optimizing emergency funds. Additionally, a unique product for Romanian brokers, PIEs, which simplifies and efficiently manages a diversified portfolio on the U.S. market, will also be integrated directly into Investimental Nova.

Investimental Nova centralizes access to notifications, reports, and relevant financial news, such as “Zori de Bursă” and “Flash,” providing a clear market overview. Personalized alerts ensure investors can respond quickly to price fluctuations and market opportunities. The app continues to evolve, with plans to integrate European markets, an advanced fund deposit and withdrawal system, corporate events, and products such as PIEs in the first quarter of 2025. By year-end, Investimental Nova will introduce extended functionalities and advanced reports for experienced investors. The company plans to invest an additional RON 2 million in the app's development this year, addressing the needs of a dynamic financial market and contributing to users' long-term success.

Since the broker's launch in July 2023, Investimental's clients have been predominantly active in the Romanian market, with 60% of transactions carried out on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) and the remaining 40% focused on the U.S. capital market. However, in terms of traded volumes, the U.S. capital market has proven significantly more attractive to Investimental's clients. During the analyzed period, the top three most traded financial instruments on the Romanian market were OMV Petrom (SNP), Banca Transilvania (TLV), and Hidroelectrica (H2O), with ICBETNETF, the newest ETF available on the Bucharest Stock Exchange since May 2024, making it to the top 10. In the U.S. market, the most traded stocks include Microsoft (MSFT), Alphabet (GOOG), and Nvidia (NVDA).

Investimental offers competitive trading costs, tailored to help local investors maximize their returns. With zero fees for services such as dividend collection, cash transfers, currency exchange, or real-time quotes and processing of corporate events, the company ensures access to financial markets without hidden costs. Currently, Investimental boasts a diverse client base, with over 3,300 clients holding portfolios worth over €30 million. Most Investimental clients are aged between 35-44 (35%), and a third are from Bucharest (38%), with significant numbers in Ilfov, Cluj, and Iasi, reflecting a broad national reach and growing interest in both local and international capital markets.

Investimental Nova is now available on desktop via the Investimental website, while native mobile applications can be downloaded on iOS and Android devices from their respective stores (App Store and Google Play).
