With this strategic investment, the company reduces its CO2 emissions by 150 tons annually and reinforces its market leadership and commitment to long-term environmental sustainability. The project allows the warehouse to be supplied with renewable energy sources and the surplus to be fed into the national grid on a prosumer basis. The design and installation of the photovoltaic panels was carried out by Coral Construct.
“We are dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of our activities by investing in innovative energy saving solutions and renewable resources. This is an entirely self-funded project and is an important step in supporting global efforts to protect the environment. In the future, we are planning to equip our headquarters in Bucharest with photovoltaic panels as well,” said Alexandru Frangopol, General Manager for Romania at PPD Global.
