The Extended East Europe Electric Route – BlueRoute 4E project will deploy 106 charging points at 34 strategic locations along major European transport corridors.
The project includes 98 charging points with minimum 150 kW power for light vehicles and 8 charging points with minimum 350 kW power for heavy vehicles. All stations will be located within 3 km of TEN-T route exits, ensuring 24/7 access and compliance with AFIR standards.
"Building on the successful implementation of the CEF-funded project East Europe Electric Route (Blue Route 3E), PPC blue is advancing to the next phase of its strategy with the launch of the Blue Route 4E programme in Greece and Romania, accelerating the transition to electric mobility," said Miltiades Babilis, Chief E-Mobility Officer of PPC Group.
Andreea-Dana Popescu, General Manager of PPC Blue Romania, added: "We are building a robust, reliable and future-proof network that meets the growing expectations of our customers. Through this project we want to offer customers a simple, fast and barrier-free experience."
PPC blue currently operates over 4,000 charging points across Greece and Romania. The funding supports the broader European strategy to develop sustainable transport and increase charging infrastructure for renewable and low-carbon fuels.
