The complicated economic and social context of 2024 has increased people's need for smart financing tools that allow them to maintain a comfortable lifestyle and adapt to the latest trends in technology. In this context, tbi bank, one of the leading challenger banks in Southeast Europe, has entered into an agreement with one of the most dynamic retailers in Romania, Mi-home.ro, the official online store of Xiaomi Romania.

Customers can now buy an extremely wide range of smart devices through the Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solution in 4 installments without interest or in 6-60 installments with interest.

”Smart devices are very important for modern living, adapted to the latest trends. Whether we are talking about watches, bracelets, home appliances, or kitchen equipment, they are essential to defining a certain comfortable and efficient lifestyle, in which the smart home concept is at the heart. To help people have easier access to these products that make their lives easier, we have partnered with Mi-home.ro, the official online store of Xiaomi Romania. This makes it easier for Romanians to pay for smart devices without feeling additional financial pressure,” said Ionut Sabadac, VP Merchant Solutions, tbi.

For purchases up to RON 2000, customers can pay in 4 fixed installments, with 0% interest, without having to issue a card. For purchases over RON 2000, the rate remains fixed for the duration of the contract and the number of monthly installments can be between 6 and 60, without the need to visit the bank.

The Mi-Home.ro website, launched in 2021, is an authorized online store selling a wide range of Xiaomi devices on the Romanian market. The retailer's sales exceeded RON 9 million in 2023.

„We created this online store with the main goal of offering people a wide range of smart products to make their lives easier and help them stay connected to the latest technology. In a delicate economic context, financing becomes essential, and this partnership with a strong player like tbi bank helps us to stay close to our customers and achieve our goals,” said Matei Niteanu, Operations Manager, Mi-Home.ro.
