INATECH Group announces business of €8.5 million and a slight increase in all divisions in 2023, in a slightly uncertain economic context, where overall consumption has been tempered. INATECH's biggest increases have been recorded in the export segment, through which it aims for a more accelerated expansion in Central and Eastern Europe in the coming years.

INATECH Group, which includes the divisions INATECH Packaging (provider of complete packaging solutions), iFOAM AG (manufacturer of customized packaging) and ISOTECKLINE (provider of professional insulating materials), registered an organic growth of 7% in business in 2023 vs. from the previous year, close to the set objectives, maintaining the annual growth rate. Most of the business, at 80%, is represented by B2B sales, and the main source of growth of the three divisions included the development of customized solutions, able to adapt and scale according to the size and requirements of each client's business.

"We maintain our growth rate, year after year, by constantly adapting to market changes and the economic context, through very well-balanced investments and business directions. We recognize that 2023 was a more challenging year than the pandemic years, from the point of view of the general consumption of the population, but also of the economic state. In a more difficult context for the entire profile market, the fact that we are a supplier of complete packaging solutions and that we develop the product range, the export area, that we conclude new partnerships and that we invest - in new production lines, in technologies and online store - ensures our constant growth and helps us achieve ambitious goals. Thus, we had increases in several business divisions and, in particular, in exports, which represent 10% of the entire activity. 2023 was a year with challenges for our group, but we believe that adapting to market conditions, creating business opportunities, as well as taking very well-considered decisions have given and will continue to give the necessary impetus to the development of INATECH in Romania and in the region", says Cristian-George Badescu, CEO & Owner INATECH Packaging.

The company has seen increases in demand for packaging and packaging equipment, products that are increasingly sought after by companies in many fields. In terms of packaging sales volume, the e-commerce industry represents the largest part of sales, 20%, a sector for which INATECH has diversified its offer of packaging solutions. At the same time, the number of customers increased by 25% compared to the previous year.

The group's export activity continues to grow, especially in Bulgaria and Hungary, but also in Germany, Austria and the Republic of Moldova.

The best-selling products in 2023 were paper and cardboard packaging, with a shift in demand and a shift towards more environmentally friendly products. Demand has also increased for eco-friendly bubble wrap, produced from 100% recycled raw material. Overall, 2023 was characterized by an interest in complete packaging solutions, adapted to each business, in the context in which companies in Romania turn more and more often to suppliers who can offer a wide and diversified range of resistant packaging and packaging equipment to streamline the procurement process and optimize costs.

"Through a diversified range of protective packaging, we manage to serve numerous industries: e-commerce, electronics, pharmaceuticals, the furniture manufacturing industry, construction, aeronautics, automotive and logistics. At the same time, we also cover very well the demand for customized packaging, through the company iFOAM AG, a special and continuously growing product category due to the fact that they can be created according to the specific needs of customers. Thus, in 2023 we had a 10% higher demand compared to the previous year and we predict further increases. This business division is a strong advantage in a constantly changing market, through which we cover various requirements and particularities for maximum protection and an attractive design for products such as gadgets, glassware, watches and various luxury products that require packaging of impact, but at the same time functional", declares Andrei Rusu, co-founder of iFOAM AG.

In 2024, the INATECH group is counting on increasing its market share by diversifying and developing its product portfolio, on entering into partnerships with new international leaders, with the aim of providing the best packaging solutions for the targeted industries and on identifying growth opportunities in the fields such as e-commerce, the pharmaceutical industry and retail.

Founded in 2010, the INATECH group, which includes INATECH Packaging (packaging division), ISOTECKLINE (construction insulation division) and iFOAM AG (custom packaging production line), is an important presence in the packaging and construction industries in Romania, with a complete range of products and constantly diversified, currently counting over 5,000 unique codes in the portfolio.

With warehouses both in Domnești, Ilfov, and in Oradea, Bihor (CTP Cargo Terminal), INATECH serves the markets of Bulgaria, Hungary, Republic of Moldova, Germany and Austria. The export segment represents 10% of the business.

In 2023, INATECH entered the segment of recycling and processing plastic waste for the production of recycled granule raw material, necessary for product protection, as part of the sustainability strategy of the whole group.
