Hotel Galaxy Timișoara, a member of Radisson Individuals, has opened as a 48-room lifestyle hotel at 18-20 Gheorghe Lazar Street in the old city of Timișoara, Romania. The property marks the brand's debut in western Romania and introduces the city's first internationally affiliated lifestyle hotel in the historic centre.

The opening comes as Timișoara gains recognition as a European Capital of Culture 2023 and draws growing interest from international visitors while remaining one of Romania's important business centres. The hotel offers all-day dining at Essenza Restaurant and Essenza Brasserie, a lobby bar with outdoor terrace, meetings and events facilities, a fitness centre, and a rooftop outdoor jacuzzi with city views.

"Timișoara is one of Central Europe's most captivating cities, rich in heritage, culturally vibrant, and increasingly gaining recognition on the international stage," said Joep Peeters, Chief Operating Officer Franchise EMEA, Radisson Hotel Group. "Hotel Galaxy perfectly reflects what Radisson Individuals was created for, distinctive hotels with their own identity, rooted in destinations with stories worth discovering."

The hotel sits in the old city centre within walking distance of key landmarks. The National Opera and Union Square are 10 minutes by car, while Timișoara International Airport is approximately 20 minutes away. The property offers 45 rooms in twin and king configurations alongside three apartments designed for extended stays.

"Timișoara has always deserved a hotel that matches its ambition, a place that reflects the city's creativity, its cultural depth, and its confidence as a destination on the rise," said Andreea Otescu, General Manager. The dining venues serve international and local cuisine drawing on the Austro-Hungarian culinary tradition, while wellness facilities include a spa, sauna, and the rooftop jacuzzi overlooking the old city.
