Romanian energy company Simtel Team has appointed Petre Stoian as CEO to consolidate its management structure as the group expands its operations.

The appointment aims to strengthen operational management of Simtel Team, the group's main company responsible for engineering, design and execution of energy projects. Meanwhile, Mihai Tudor continues as CEO of the Simtel Group, focusing on coordinating growth strategy, new investments and the portfolio of over 25 entities operating in complementary sectors.

"In his new role, Petre Stoian will have the mission to further strengthen the company's EPC activity as a benchmark of engineering excellence by leveraging the experience and professionalism of the existing team," the company said in a regulatory filing.

Stoian brings over 18 years of experience in the energy sector, having held management positions at companies including Enel, Delgaz Grid and Electrocons Group, where he coordinated large teams and investment projects. He graduated from Politehnica University of Timișoara's Faculty of Energy Engineering and holds a master's degree in Energy Engineering and an MBA from Bucharest Business School.

At present, Simtel Team is accelerating expansion of its activities, while broadening its business lines across the energy sector.
