Ascendia joins Google for Startups Scale with educational platform

Business Forum
Ascendia, a Romanian company specialising in digital infrastructure for education and public institutions, announced that its educational content creation platform LIVRESQ has been accepted into the Google for Startups Scale Tier.

The programme provides Ascendia with access to enterprise-grade infrastructure, Google AI technologies including Gemini, and up to €185,000 in Google Cloud credits. The company will also receive technical support for product development and scaling.

This follows Ascendia's participation in the Google for Startups Growth Academy: AI for GovTech programme in September 2025, where LIVRESQ was the only Romanian solution selected for the EMEA cohort. The programme led to the creation of the pedagogical assistant LIVRESQ Companion, launched in April 2026, which already serves over 10,000 teachers across 800 schools.

"Acceptance into the Google for Startups Scale Tier represents a natural continuation of the technological and institutional direction Ascendia has been developing for several years," said Cosmin Mălureanu, CEO of Ascendia. "Access to Google infrastructure and AI technologies allows us to optimise operational costs and accelerate product development without compromising flexibility."

LIVRESQ is currently used by more than 158,900 creators from over 7,260 institutions and companies, with 14 million measured views recorded over the last 12 months.
