Pepco expands DHL partnership across five European hubs

Business Forum
DHL Supply Chain and Pepco have extended their collaboration to strengthen distribution operations across Europe. The expanded partnership aims to ensure product availability, reduce delivery lead times, and enhance network performance for Pepco's growing store footprint.

Following collaborations at Pepco distribution centers in Sosnowiec (Poland) and Spain, Pepco has expanded its partnership with DHL Supply Chain, entrusting it with the operation of five logistics hubs across Europe. In CEE, these include facilities in Sosnowiec and Rawa Mazowiecka (Poland), Gyál (Hungary), and Bucharest (Romania).

DHL Supply Chain has recently taken over the operational management of Pepco's distribution center in Bucharest, marking the division's entry into the Romanian market. At the Bucharest facility, DHL Supply Chain provides warehousing, inbound and outbound operations, loading activities, and value-added services. From this facility, Pepco products are distributed to stores across Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece.

Three of the five sites feature automation, helping to maintain service quality by increasing processing volumes, improving picking accuracy, and enhancing the predictability of lead times. The collaboration also strengthens operational continuity through a multi-site model designed to sustain service levels during periods of disruption.

DHL Supply Chain now manages 290,000 sqm of logistics space, integrating more than 1,500 new employees and serving 4,020 Pepco stores across Europe. "Pepco's supply chain efficiency is built on the resilience and interconnectedness of its European network," said Rainer Haag, CEO Europe, DHL Supply Chain. "As Pepco continues to grow, the resilience and reliability of our distribution network are becoming an advantage," said Javier Rubio, Global Sourcing and Supply Chain Director Pepco.
