BT finances Hampton by Hilton Venice hotel with €50 million

Banca Transilvania, Romania's banking leader, has completed its largest cross-border financing to date with a €50 million loan for Hampton by Hilton Venice Isola Nuova. The loan, provided through BT Italia branch, refinances the hotel's development costs.

The financing represents a strategic investment in Venice's hospitality industry, one of Europe's most visited tourist destinations. Hampton by Hilton Venice Isola Nuova, managed by UAB Apex Alliance Hotel Management, is a key hotel in Venice's metropolitan area with over 300 rooms and easy access to the city's main attractions.

"This transaction represents the largest financing within our partnership with BT, matching our ambitions in Italy," said Vytautas Drumelis, Partner at Apex Alliance. "The bank's ability to work cross-border through its dedicated local presence, BT Italia branch, is a real operational advantage for us."

Cosmin Călin, Senior Executive Director for Large Companies, Structured Finance and Factoring at Banca Transilvania, said the financing demonstrates BT's capacity to structure complex transactions with integrated teams from Romania and Italy. "It's a project that opens the way for other cross-border transactions and helps the bank enter the major league of European financing."

BT Italia branch serves over 7,000 clients, including approximately 300 companies, supporting cross-border financing and developing relationships with Romanian-Italian businesses and the Romanian diaspora in Italy. Apex Alliance Group currently operates 18 hotels across Italy, Romania, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, with plans to expand into Switzerland, Romania and Moldova by 2026.
